New York’s Horrible Idea to Combat Virus

New York’s Plan Makes No Sense

The Mayor of New York put the city on a state of emergency due to coronavirus concerns. He made it so that the city cannot have gatherings of more than 500 people. There were three exemptions: health care areas, mass transit and…schools.

Schools?

Why would someone leave open an institution that has FAR more than 500 gathering at once, all of whom go home afterward to families who can easily get the disease?

36 infectious disease experts sent an open letter about the policy:

“We can say with confidence that the actions of local government in the coming days and weeks will substantially impact the course of the epidemic in our city. It is our view that New York City government should act now.”

“We recommend that social distancing should be actively implemented, not merely recommended. Events with large numbers of people should be prohibited. Perhaps most importantly and controversially, schools should be closed within the next few days.”

Like most Democrat ideas, it’s a half-hearted solution that won’t actually solve the problem. Democrats always claim to be about science, so why isn’t he listening to scientists?

We have no idea, but the question remains…

Market Watch

Looks like the fast food section of the market may heat up soon (minus any coronavirus problems).

The two segments that are actually growing in fast food are late night and breakfast.

While late night is usually reserved for graveyard shift workers and drunken college students, breakfast is a wide open field.

This is why companies are falling over each other to hit this segment.

Wendy’s is trying breakfast again, after failing before. Dunkin’ recently rolled out a vegetarian Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich. Even Panera is getting new breakfast items to try and compete.

Looks like the next fast food war will revolve around the morning.

A boom in breakfast could boost a company’s stock big time. We’ll keep you updated as effects start rolling in.

Is Bernie Done?

Biden had another resounding victory in the Democratic Primaries, which many are calling the end of Bernie.

Biden took most states that day, with Bernie only holding onto a couple of states.

Seems the wind may be out of the sails for the Socialist candidate, who seemed a lock after the Iowa primary.

However, the DNC hates Sanders and is doing their best to skew it against him.

Looks like they may be succeeding.

Biden’s Coronavirus Plan

More and more, the left shows its utter insanity.

Biden’s plan for the coronavirus is a great example.

You’d think, with a pandemic on the rise, the health of the citizens should be the only priority.

But Biden has another priority that is equal, if not more, important to him: stopping racism.

Huh?

How is this even a factor?

Biden states his plan is to “Stop the political theater and willful misinformation that has heightened confusion and discrimination.”

“This communication is essential to combating the dangerous epidemic of fear, chaos, and stigmatization that can overtake communities faster than the virus.”

“Acts of racism and xenophobia against the Asian American and Pacific Islander community must not be tolerated,” the plan states.

How is stigma more important than saving lives? Where are these people’s priorities?

California’s Power Grab

Leave it to a Democrat to make a power grab out of a national pandemic.

Gavin Newsome, Governor of California, has issued an executive order allowing the state to take control of hotels, motels and medical facilities.

They are literally taking over private companies for the government to run.

This is a scary time.
