There’s Something Wrong Here
The World Health Organization (WHO) finally called the coronavirus a global pandemic on March 11.
But why did it take so long?
By that time, it had spread to Europe and health officials in numerous countries had informed WHO about the pandemic.
What was WHO doing before this?
They were saying that the stigma of calling the disease either “Wuhan Virus” or “Chinese Virus” was a bigger threat than the pandemic we now face.
That obviously turned out to be false. And that was said only 10 days before they called it a global pandemic.
And what are they doing now? Praising China’s response because they had no new cases yesterday.
They praised the response of a country that downplayed the threat of the virus, wouldn’t let other countries help (which could have stopped it from spreading) and then blamed the United States military for it.
People are saying that the director general of WHO may have turned a blind eye to what was happening, after meeting with the Chinese President in January.
I really want to say something sarcastic here, but this isn’t the time for sarcasm. It’s the time for outrage.
While most stocks are struggling, shares of movie theater chains shot up on Thursday after they plead with the government for relief measures.
Most theaters have closed due to coronavirus fears, with most planning to close for at least 6-12 weeks.
That’s a LONG time for a theater to not be making money.
They tried at first to do distance seating, but that didn’t work well, so they decided to close altogether.
AMC stocks were up 28% on Thursday, but that gain wasn’t nearly as much as Cinemark, who had a rise of 72%.
Imax also went up 51%.
There has been no word of how much relief they are seeking, but just asking for it brought some much needed rising to the market.
China Blames America for Coronavirus…Again
More and more, I find myself wondering: what reasons could the mass media have for ignoring this (and even lying about it)?
Still, no good reason has come to me.
And still, China continues to push the theory that America created the coronavirus, even as states are on near lockdown mode.
Chinese state television had an “expert” on that said, “The US pushed out the vaccine so quickly, that only means they have been working on it way before the pandemic.”
“So we can conclude that the US had this virus in their possession long ago,” the host said in response.
What did we hear from American media about this claim? Crickets.
They even insisted that Trump made it up when he mentioned it.
What is going on here?
Political Correctness Strikes Again
A professor Virology and Microbiology in Italy said the reason the virus spread so quickly was due to one thing: political correctness.
He told CNN that the travel restrictions and border controls that were needed were not undertaken because it would have been perceived by some as possibly racist.
They even had a proposal, in the early days, to isolate people coming from China, but decided not to in case it was seen as racist.
Now there are over 3,400 people dead.
I don’t know what else to say.
How are People Reacting to the Coronavirus?
The answer is not good.
So called “influencers” are so starved for attention now that no one cares about the nonsense they spout that they started taking desperate measures to get more of it.
Like one who made a “coronavirus challenge” by licking an airline toilet seat.
Ultra-PC countries are putting liberal ideals above reality in a bid to appear open to everyone.
Like when Italian government called on people to “hug a Chinese” person (right before their country was decimated by the virus).
College students, though one wonders who let these kids in, are putting Spring Break above the health of all Americans.
Like the kid in Florida who said coronavirus isn’t going to affect his partying.
Is this what we have become?
