Digital Matter Expands Bluetooth®-Enabled GPS Devices with G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE

Digital Matter, a global leader in low-power GPS and IoT hardware development, recently announced the next-generation versions of their Dart3 and G70 GPS vehicle and equipment tracking devices, with the addition of Bluetooth Low Energy.

The G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE build on the robust features of their predecessors, now enhanced with added Bluetooth functionality for comprehensive sensor and condition monitoring.

Offering high-precision, real-time tracking via Cellular LTE-M (Cat-M1)/NB-IoT connectivity, these devices can also be used for comprehensive driver and vehicle monitoring. Flexible inputs interface with a range of devices and switches, to monitor driver safety and behavior by detecting fatigue, accidents, route deviation, immobilization, speeding and more.

With the addition of Bluetooth Gateway technology, the G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE now support concurrent GPS tracking and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) monitoring, offering a practical and customizable solution for businesses.

“This addition to our Bluetooth portfolio marks a significant enhancement of our asset tracking capabilities,” says Ken Everett, CEO and Founder of Digital Matter. “By integrating location tracking with Bluetooth Low Energy, our partners can now expand the scope and scale of their fleet management and equipment tracking solutions, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and asset protection.”

For fleet management and equipment tracking, the BLE capability enables monitoring of essential vehicle parameters such as fuel levels, fuel flow rates, axle load meters, tire pressure, and temperature. BLE also enables Driver ID, to seamlessly authenticate and identify drivers themselves without the need for physical keys or ID cards.

The G70 BLE and Dart3 BLE devices support an extensive range of industry-standard BLE tags and sensors, enabling versatile and customizable solutions. This compatibility provides a simple, plug-and-play experience, allowing seamless integration with any BLE tag on the market, ensuring businesses can tailor their asset tracking and monitoring systems to meet specific needs and requirements.

Data from BLE sensors can be seamlessly integrated with any end-platform, with flexible integration and API control. This capability empowers businesses to easily incorporate Digital Matter’s solutions into their existing systems, streamlining operations and enhancing asset management deployment.

Digital Matter continues to evolve its portfolio to meet the dynamic needs of its partners. The company also announced plans to expand the Dart3 BLE to their global range, enabling worldwide asset visibility and management across most of the world’s cellular network.

“Many of our partners require a ‘truly global’ connectivity solution,” says Everett.

“We are excited to soon offer a solution that addresses these needs, enabling effective fleet management and asset tracking without geographic limitations.”
