Telenor IoT Partners with Giken Mobility to Enhance Electric Motorcycle Connectivity

Telenor IoT and Giken Mobility join forces to introduce cutting-edge connectivity solutions for the Iso UNO-X electric motorcycle. This partnership fuses Italian heritage, precision engineering, and advanced technology to set a new standard in electric mobility.

Telenor IoT, a leading brand in connectivity solutions, announces its partnership with Giken Mobility, a player in the electric vehicle industry.

This strategic collaboration is set to improve the landscape of electric motorcycle connectivity, enhancing safety, convenience, and rider experience for the Iso UNO-X electric motorcycle.

Born from Italian heritage and rejuvenated on a global scale, the Iso brand, founded in 1948, has reemerged with a bold vision for the future of electric mobility. In partnership with Giken Mobility, the Iso UNO-X electric motorcycle is a testament to innovation and Italian craftsmanship. Iso’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness aligns with Giken Mobility’s aspiration to replace conventional petrol-powered scooters with electric alternatives.

Giken Mobility, a subsidiary of SGX-listed GSS Energy, specializes in precision engineering and holds the license for Iso Motorcycles.

The Iso UNO-X, a fully electric motorcycle equipped with a 7-inch dashboard boasting an intuitive user interface, will start its journey on the roads of Hong Kong and Malaysia. Telenor IoT’s managed connectivity will play an instrumental role in enhancing the Iso UNO-X’s capabilities, ensuring real-time data analysis while ensuring customer privacy and data security.

The partnership introduces the “Mio Iso” application, integrating with the Iso UNO-X’s connectivity to provide a new dimension of riding experience. Through Telenor IoT’s managed connectivity, riders can access smart features, including battery health monitoring for safer journeys, remote vehicle management, and diagnostics to optimize overall efficiency.

“We recognized the potential for enhancing the value proposition of our electric motorcycles beyond the bike itself,” says Sydney Yeung, CEO of Giken. “Telenor IoT’s robust managed connectivity solution allowed us to realize features that were previously unimaginable, ultimately prioritizing the safety, convenience, and reliability that our riders deserve.”

Giken Mobility’s decision to partner with Telenor IoT was founded on the latter’s proven track record of working with automotive industry leaders and its strong presence in markets like Thailand.

As the electric mobility revolution gains momentum, Giken Mobility is set to stand apart from competitors.

“Our collaboration with Giken Mobility marks a significant milestone in the evolution of electric mobility,” said Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor IoT.

“We are proud to provide the connectivity backbone that drives the Iso UNO-X to new heights, setting a precedent for the future of electric motorcycles.”
